The British Grand Prix at Silverstone will be the first of three events this season where fans will see the new "sprint qualifying" take place.
Today F1 has revealed the new time table for the weekend with later practice and qualifying sessions aimed for the fans to see qualifying on the Friday night. The revised time table sees Free Practice 1 on Friday aftertoon at 14:30 - 15:30. Qualifying will take place at 18:00 - 19:00, this has been pushed to the Friday night for fans to be able to watch qualifying after work and school hopefully boosting F1s veiwership. Fp2 will be held on Saturday from
12:00 - 13:00. Sprint Qualifying will take place from 16:30 - 17:00 again for a hope at wider viewership. With the Grand Prix starting at 15:00 on Sunday afternoon.

FRIDAY FP1: 1430-1530 Qualifying: 1800-1900
SATURDAY FP2: 1200-1300 Sprint Qualifying: 1630-1700
SUNDAY Race: 1500
