British GP 2022 - Track Guide

Here's everything you need to know about the British Grand Prix, officially the Formula 1 Lenovo British Grand Prix 2022.

The Silverstone Circuit was built in 1942, with the first race being held by the British track in 1950. Giuseppe Farina was the winner of the inaugural race, who also won that year's World Championship title.

What Silverstone gave us in 2021

Great Britain gave us a very controversial race last year. Lewis Hamilton collided with Max Verstappen on Lap 1, exiting Copse, tagging his car while trying to overtake the Dutchman for the lead, sending Verstappen into the barriers. The 7-time World Champion received a 10-second penalty, from which he recovered, by closing up on Leclerc, who was running in P1, taking his 8th win in Silverstone.
