United States GP 2022 - FP2: Leclerc tops a tyre-testing session, Bottas and Ricciardo follow

Charles Leclerc finished Friday on top of the timesheets, followed by Valtteri Bottas in P2 and Daniel Ricciardo in P3.

It was a 90' session in Austin, as teams and drivers completed the first of the two tyre testing practice sessions for the FIA. Results will most likely, if not definitely, vary tomorrow, as teams followed different strategies while testing the experimental tyres.

Charles Leclerc topped FP2, followed by Alfa Romeo's Valtteri Bottas in P2 and McLaren's Daniel Ricciardo in P3.

Carlos Sainz placed his Ferrari in P4, right ahead of Mick Schumacher in P5, and Lando Norris in P6.

Max Verstappen only finished 7th, but this order is everything but representative ahead of tomorrow's Qualifying.

Completing the top 10, Lewis Hamilton took P8, followed by Pierre Gasly in P9 and Sergio Perez in P10.
