Spanish GP - FP1: Valtteri Bottas on top, 0.033 in front on Max Verstappen.

The first practice session of the Spanish GP weekend is officially complete, with Valtteri Bottas on top marking a 1:18.504, followed by Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton.

Three different drivers in the fastest sectors, Lewis Hamilton in Sector 1 (22.084), Charles Leclerc in Sector 2 (29.422) and Max Verstappen in Sector 3 (26.786).


It was a dry session, with 15°C air temperature and 33°C on the track. No major incidents, apart from Robert Kubica (P19) spinning and getting trapped in the gravel, bringing the red flag out, with 15 minutes left on the clock. The session got resumed 6 minutes later.


A very strong session for Lando Norris on P4, as well as for both Ferrari drivers, with Charles Leclerc in P5 and Carlos Sainz in P6. Completing the Top 10, Pierre Gasly in P7, followed by the two Aston Martin drivers, Sebastian Vettel in P8 and Lance Stroll in P10, splitted by Sergio Perez in P9.


Roy Nissany (P17) drove for Williams in place of George Russell and was fastest in the speed trap for this session, with 330.4 kph.
