Singapore GP 2022 - FP2: Ferrari back on top, Mercedes follows
The second practice session of the weekend has been completed, and the two Ferraris lead the way: Carlos Sainz finished on top, followed by Charles Leclerc in P2 and George Russell in P3.

Several drivers made slight contact with the walls of Marina Bay, with Perez and Sainz getting personal with them. Not a good session for AlphaTauri, as Yuki Tsunoda's FP2 was ended early, due to a fuel system issue, and Pierre Gasly had to quickly jump out of the car, when the engine cover caught fire as he was coming into the pits. That didn't end the Frenchman's evening though, as he emerged to the track shortly after the incident.
Carlos Sainz finished Friday on a high, clocking a 1:42.587, followed by his teammate, Charles Leclerc, in P2, and Mercedes' George Russell in P3.
Max Verstappen finished in P4 and only completed 6 laps in this session, just ahead of Lewis Hamilton, who placed his W13 in P4, after finishing FP1 in P5.
Esteban Ocon in P6, followed by Valtteri Bottas in P7 and Fernando Alonso in P8, marking another double-top-10 appearance for Alpine.
Sergio Perez didn't match his teammate's pace, as he seemed to be struggling with some issues earlier in the session, and ended up in P9, ahead of Lance Stroll in P10, who completed the top 10.
Rain awaits tomorrow and Sunday, making today's efforts seem rather pointless. Saturday coming up under the lights of Marina Bay, and that's where it begins. We'll be covering Qualifying LIVE on our Twitter account, so make sure to turn our notifications on, so you don't miss a thing!
