Japanese GP 2022 - FP2: A Mercedes 1-2 In The Rain
The second practice session of Japanese GP the weekend is complete, with Mercedes topping FP2, as George Russell lead Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen.

Rain never stopped for FP2 either, making it a full day in the wets, and drivers had to put up with the tricky conditions for 90 minutes this time, instead of 60, as Pirelli chose the Japanese GP to run its additional tyre tests. Of course, the test was cancelled due to the heavy rain, but the running time didn't cut short.
George Russell topped Friday's last practice session, followed by his teammate, Lewis Hamilton in P2, and Max Verstappen in P3.
Sergio Perez completed a Red bull 3-4, followed by Kevin Magnussen in P5.
Carlos Sainz was the only one of Ferrari's prancing horses who got in the top 10, and ended up in P6, as Charles Leclerc had issues with his brakes, and only completed 10 laps during the session.
It was a double top 10 appearance for Alpine, who are looking to bounce back from last weekend's double DNF, as Fernando Alonso finished in 7th, with Esteban Ocon in 9th.
The two Alfa Romeo drivers were the ones who completed the top 10, with Valtteri Bottas in P8 and Zhou Guanyu in P10.
