French GP - Race: Max Verstappen wins in France!
Max Verstappen wins in an intense race in Circuit Paul Ricard, followed by Lewis Hamilton and Sergio Perez.
With Valtteri Bottas in P4, it's not the best day for Mercedes, as Red Bull extended their lead in both Drivers' and Constructors' Championship, with the Austrian team having a 37-point lead over Mercedes, and Max Verstappen being 12 points ahead of Lewis Hamilton.

Lando Norris in P5, followed by his team mate, Daniel Ricciardo in P6. A great haul of points for McLaren, that puts them 16 points ahead of Ferrari in the Constructors' Championship. The Maranello-based team didn't manage to score any points this weekend, with Carlos Sainz in P11 and Charles Leclerc in P16.
Pierre Gasly (P7) managed to stay in front of Fernando Alonso (P8), followed by the two Astons, with Sebastian Vettel in P9 and Lance Stroll in P10.
Outside the Top 10, George Russell in 12th, scored his best result of the 2021 season.
Race Highlights (lap by lap):
Race Start: Max Verstappen went slightly off at Turn 2, allowing Lewis Hamilton to overtake for the lead.
Lap 19: Max Verstappen went into the pits for his first stop and managed to keep Lewis Hamilton behind, after Hamilton came in the pits, a lap later, for his stop as well.
Lap 33: Max Verstappen pit again and switched to a used set of medium tyres to go for the undercut.
Lap 44: Max Verstappen overtook Valtteri Bottas for P2, closing in on Hamilton.
Lap 52: Verstappen passed Hamilton for the lead.
Post Race: Max Verstappen got the fans' vote for Driver Of The Day. He also got the extra Fastest Lap point.
