Emilia Romagna GP - FP2: Problems for Verstappen, Bottas on top, another Mercedes 1-2.

Valtteri Bottas on top of Friday's afternoon practice session, followed by Lewis Hamilton and Pierre Gasly, all within 0.078 seconds.

Next up, in P4 and P5, the two Ferrari drivers, Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc, with the second one crashing into the barrier at the final corner, bringing the FP2 session to an end, with just under 2 minutes left on the clock. Sergio Perez in P6, a good enough result after his FP1 collision with Esteban Ocon (P11), followed by Alpha Tauri's Yuki Tsunoda in P7. Completing the top 10, we have Lando Norris in P8, Antonio Giovinazzi in P9, and Lance Stroll in P10.

Max Verstappen lost drive of his RB16B, after a suspected drive shaft failure, resulting an early retirement from the session, and the deployment of a Virtual Safety Car.

A little update on Sergio Perez's and Esteban Ocon's FP1 collision, the two drivers were summoned by the stewards, both agreeing it was a misunderstanding between them and none of them was at fault. The FIA confirmed there was contact between Perez's rear left wheel and Ocon's front right. No further action, no penalties given.
