Emilia Romagna GP - FP1: A Mercedes 1-2 with Valtteri Bottas on top.
The chaotic first practice session of the Emilia Romagna GP is done, with Valtteri Bottas on top, followed by Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen, all within 0.058 seconds.

Charles Leclerc stayed in his pit box for most of the time for unknown reasons, but still managed to place his Ferrari on P4. Pierre Gasly on P5, followed by Ferrari's Carlos Sainz in 6th. Completing the top 10, we have Fernando Alonso in 7th, Lance Stroll in 8th, Nicholas Latifi impressively in 9th and Daniel Ricciardo in 10th.
The session got red flagged on its 37th minute after an incident between Sergio Perez and Esteban Ocon, and was resumed with 12 minutes left on the clock. We still don't know what exactly happened between the two drivers, as the official F1 live stream had broadcasting issues all morning, so the only replay they've shown was the moments after the collision. The stewards have summoned both drivers after the end of the session, we'll keep you updated.
Right after the chequered flag, Nikita Mazepin spun on his way to the pits, destroying his front wing.
