Dutch GP - Qualifying: Pole position on home ground for Max Verstappen, 0.092 sec covering top 3

Max Verstappen finished on top of the timesheets this Saturday afternoon, snatching another pole position, this time in front of his home crowd. Charles Leclerc in P2, only 0.021 sec behind him, with Carlos Sainz in P3, 0.092 sec slower than Verstappen.

Q1: Great performance by Mick Schumacher, who managed to advance to Q2, in contrary to his teammate, Kevin Magnussen, who was eliminated. Eliminated in Q1: Valtteri Bottas (P16), Kevin Magnussen (P17), Daniel Ricciardo (P18), Sebastian Vettel (P19) and Nicholas Latifi (P20).

Q2: The session was briefly red flagged due to some flare that was thrown in the track, and some pigeons camping on the apex of T7. Eliminated in Q2: Pierre Gasly (P11), Esteban Ocon (P12), Fernando Alonso (P13), Guanyu Zhou (P14) and Alex Albon (P15).

Q3: A few moments before the end of the session, just after the chequered flag was waved, Sergio Perez spun at final corner, suspending the session. The two Mercedes drivers weren't able to improve, as the third sector was under yellow flags, as they went through.

Max Verstappen took pole position at his home Grand Prix, making the Oranje go wild, despite dealing with car issues all throughout Friday and Saturday morning. Charles Leclerc took second, 0.021 sec behind him, with his teammate, Carlos Sainz, finishing in P3, 0.092 sec behind Verstappen.

Lewis Hamilton (P4) was rather unlucky, just like his teammate, George Russell (P6), as neither of the two Mercedes drivers was able to improve in Q3, as Sergio Perez (P5) spun and crashed at the final moments of the session.

Lando Norris outqualified his teammate once again, finishing in 7th, followed by stellar Mick Schumacher in P8.

Yuki Tsunoda climbed up to P9, followed by Lance Stroll in P10, who, even though managed to advance to Q3, didn't set a lap time, as some technical problem meant he never left the garage for his Q3 outing.
