Belgian GP 2022 - FP1: 1-2 for Ferrari, rain incoming?
Carlos Sainz topped the first practice session of the Belgian GP weekend, followed by Charles Leclerc in P2 and Max Verstappen in P3.

F1 is back from the Summer break, this time to race in Spa. Cloudy conditions welcomed the teams and drivers in the Ardennes region, with a few drops of rain appearing towards the end of the session around the last corners of the 7km track.
The session was red flagged with 22 minutes left on the clock, as Kevin Magnussen stopped his VF-22 in the middle of the track, reporting some high voltage issue.
Carlos Sainz finished on top of the timesheets, followed by his teammate, Charles Leclerc in P2 and Max Verstappen in P3.
George Russell managed to place his Mercedes in P4, followed by a surprise Lance Stroll in P5 and Alex Albon in P6.
Daniel Ricciardo, who announced his departure from McLaren two days ago, had a decent run to end up in P7, ahead of Yuki Tsunoda in P8, Lewis Hamilton in P9 and Sergio Perez in P10, who completed his fastest lap on the hard compound.
Outside the top ten, F2 and Red Bull junior driver, Liam Lawson, who participated in FP1, driving for Alpha Tauri, finished in P19, right ahead of Valtteri Bottas, who didn't get to put in any laps, as he struggled with some mechanical issues, just like Esteban Ocon in P16.
