Azerbaijan GP - FP2: 1-2 for Red Bull, 3-4 for Ferrari.
We know you missed us during FP1, but we're back again, so let's see how things went in FP2. Sergio Perez completed the session on top, followed by Max Verstappen and Carlos Sainz.
Charles Leclerc in P4, continuing Ferrari's good performance, followed by Pierre Gasly in P5 and Fernando Alonso in P6. Another great session for Antonio Giovinazzi in P7, followed by Lando Norris in P8. Completing the top 10, Esteban Ocon in P9 and Yuki Tsunoda in P10. We have a double top 10 appearancee for both Alpine and Alpha Tauri, while Mercedes seem to be struggling with their pace, with Lewis Hamilton in P11 and Valtteri Bottas in P16, not an ideal start to the Azerbaijan GP weekend for the German team.

Most drivers focused on their quick runs in most of the session, and did some longer stints on the last 10 minutes. The session got red flagged, 12 minutes in the session, as Nicholas Latifi (P20) stopped in track, reporting that "his engine died". The session restarted after 7 minutes. Charles Leclerc (P4) lost the brakes of turn 15 and crashed his Ferrari in the barriers, destroying his front wing, and forcing a Virtual Safety Car in the track, to clear the debris.
